A flaw in Intel processors used in laptops, cars and other devices can allow attackers to access encrypted files, be used for espionage and bypass copyright protection. The vulnerability, discovered by Positive Technologies researchers, affects the Pentium, Celeron and Atom processors of the Apollo Lake, Gemini Lake and Gemini Lake Refresh platforms, used in mobile devices, embedded systems, and IoT systems, such as smart home appliances, cars and medical equipment.
