Enhanced user experience with the latest release of Scitara’s iPaaS for science, now SOC 2 certified

June 1, 2023

Marlborough, MA – May 24, 2023 – Laboratory digital transformation pioneer, Scitara, announces new releases to its SOC 2-certified Digital Lab Exchange DLX™ cloud platform to improve the user experience, enhance instrument connectivity, and deliver new automation to the lab.

Scitara DLX is a cloud-based infrastructure that connects every instrument, application, and resource in the lab to support data flow throughout the enterprise. The latest DLX Core 2023 R1 (v1.9) release enhances the user experience with the launch of a new help center, a new visual expression editor, and seamless authentication.

The new help center houses user assistance content and release notes to support the user in configuring connectors, providing information about the DLX web console, and giving advice on setting up orchestrations.

The expression editor provides a graphical user interface to reference, map and transform data, allowing users to configure trigger conditions, step conditions, and step options without relying exclusively on JavaScript code.

Scitara DLX now supports single sign-on (SSO) through security assertion markup language (SAML) 2.0 identity providers, which allows for multi factor authentication (MFA). Users can opt for their own identity provider (IDP), allowing authentication through the existing set up.

Chief Technology Officer at Scitara, Geoff Gerhardt, outlines the benefits: “Introducing intuitive user tools to the DLX platform increases a lab’s in-house capabilities by removing reliance on vendor support. System updates and troubleshooting can be carried out immediately, and in minimal time, removing critical workflow disruptions.

Scitara’s ultimate goal has always been to realize the vision of a fully connected, vendor-agnostic lab, and this latest upgrade to our market leading DLX takes us another step closer. All labs want to move faster toward a digitally transformed operation. By bringing instrument configuration in-house in a user-friendly format, labs can avoid the cost of downtime by upskilling the in-house team.”

Scitara’s latest release comes at the same time as the company’s SOC 2 Type 2 accreditation, a valuable certification that provides independent validation of the company’s information management services. SOC 2 provides customers with an information security framework that informs the implementation, security, and ongoing management of system controls.

Gerhardt adds: “The SOC 2 certification adds to our ISO 27001 accreditation, both trusted validations of the value and integrity of the Scitara offering, which we are proud to offer our fast-growing customer base.”

Scitara’s rapid growth has been driven by the launch of its first-to-market iPaaS for Science, a cloud native infrastructure that allows scientific laboratories to realize the full benefits of digital transformation. The Scitara DLX product accelerates science by facilitating a modern, fully connected laboratory equipped for the 21st century with data integrity, data mobility, system flexibility, and workflow reconfigurability by the user as standard.
