New scientific advisory Board at Qlucore

Qlucore, provider of intuitive bioinformatics software for research and precision and companion diagnostics, announces the creation of a Scientific Advisory Board (SAB), consisting of five members, chaired by Carl-Johan Ivarsson, CEO of Qlucore.

The SAB includes two of Qlucore’s founders; Thoas Fioretos and Magnus Fontes and three independent senior and renowned scientists and industry experts. The Board will provide unbiased and scientifically based guidance to Qlucore, on key scientific results and technology trends, and advise on future product roadmaps for Qlucore.

The breadth of experience, knowledge and competence of the members will play a significant role for Qlucore’s product strategy with the objective to develop new software to assist with improved cancer diagnosis and clinical decision support. Together the Board members cover many of the key areas that are important for the future general strategy of Qlucore in providing advanced analytics tools for precision medicine and healthcare”, says Magnus Fontes.

 

The board members are:

  • Albrecht Stenzinger: Professor of Molecular Tumor Pathology, Deputy Director of the Institute of Pathology (IPH), as well as Head of the IPH Center for Molecular Pathology (CMP) and Section Head for Molecular Diagnostics and Biomarker Development at the Institute of Pathology, University Hospital Heidelberg, Germany.
  • Aurélien de Reyniès: Professor of Bioinformatics at the University of Paris at the Centre de Recherche des Cordeliers and the former scientific director of the CIT research program of the French League against Cancer.
  • Gang Mu: PhD in Mathematics, the Head of Artificial Intelligence – Partnerships at Roche. He has held multiple positions in Industry over the years and he is a visiting research scholar at the Institute for Mathematics at the University of Zurich.
  • Thoas Fioretos: MD, PhD, professor and senior consultant in clinical genetics at Lund University, Sweden. Co-founder of Qlucore.
  • Magnus Fontes: PhD in Mathematics, currently the Director of Institute Roche in France, a former professor at Lund University and Institute Pasteur in Paris, France. Co-founder of Qlucore.
