LabVantage Solutions Names Digital Transformation Leader Mikael Hagstroem as CEO

LabVantage Solutions, Inc., the leading provider of laboratory informatics solutions and services, has appointed Mikael Hagstroem as Chief Executive Officer.

Hagstroem brings LabVantage 30 years of experience as a global pioneer in digital transformation, helping enterprises across industries harness data and analytics to achieve better performance and create long-term advantage. He is a respected strategist and global opinion leader in the fields of analytics, digital transformation and AI.

In his 25 years at analytics software powerhouse SAS Institute, Hagstroem helped build what is now one of the world’s largest privately held software businesses. He ultimately held the positions of Executive Vice President of SAS and President of SAS International, with P&L responsibility for more than half of total corporate revenues.

Hagstroem then moved to McKinsey & Company, where he was a Partner and Chief Operating Officer of McKinsey Analytics, which helps companies around the globe create and scale new delivery models for analytics and AI. 

Most recently he was CEO and President at MetricStream, the world’s largest independent provider of governance, risk, and compliance products and solutions.

Hagstroem sees LabVantage as instrumental in bringing the monumental development of our times--the so-called Fourth Industrial Revolution--to the laboratory. The Fourth Industrial Revolution encompasses the advanced technologies that are fusing the physical, digital, and biological worlds, and thereby  impacting all disciplines, economies and industries worldwide.
