eVideon Health Partners with Tampa General Hospital to Enhance Patients’ Experience
GRAND RAPIDS, MI – March 3, 2021
– eVideon, a leader in interactive patient engagement and digital
workflow solutions, and Tampa General Hospital announced a partnership to
provide patients and families with advanced education and services. Recently
named the Best Hospital in Tampa Bay by U.S. News & World Report, Tampa
General is committed to providing area residents with excellent and
compassionate health care ranging from the simplest to the most complex medical
services.
eVideon gives patients, their families and visitors more
options, enjoyment and control during their stay. In addition to entertainment
including HDTV, movies on demand and music, patients and caregivers can access
video education content tailored to the patient’s preferences, age, condition
and language. Further, patients are able to also submit requests for
non-medical items or services to appropriate staff members who can address
their needs and allow nursing staff to focus on clinical care.
“Partnering with eVideon has allowed us to take our patient
rooms to the next level,” said Scott Arnold, executive vice president, chief
information officer at Tampa General. “Delivering superior care is always our
primary goal, and the ability to make a patient’s stay more comfortable by
personalizing their choices for entertainment is just one of the many ways we
have set out to accomplish this.”
Tampa General is deploying eVideon’s patient experience platform
across more than 1,000 hospital beds and leveraging integration of electronic
health records (EHR). This allows seamless assignment of patient education,
along with automatic documentation back into the EHR. Automated education also
eliminates the need for printed handouts and allows patients and families to
access content where and when they need it.
eVideon is equally as enthusiastic about the new partnership.
“We’re looking forward to working with the team at Tampa General to make the
care experience perfect for their patients, families and visitors,” said Jeff
Fallon, CEO at eVideon. “No two hospitals are the same, and we really enjoy
working with hospital leadership to create a unique solution that drives
meaningful interactions and relationships between providers and
patients.”
Tampa General will also be developing a “patient room of the
future” in collaboration with eVideon. The vision will include deploying the
latest and most meaningful tech-enabled experience for patients and visitors.
eVideon’s patient experience platform will be available in TGH patient rooms
beginning June 1, 2021. For more information, please visit eVideon.com.
