BOC Sciences Upgrades Its Product Line Specially Targeted for Life Science Research

June 26, 2019

SHIRLEY, NY, UNITED STATES - Jun 27, 2019 - As a well-established chemical supplier based in New York, BOC Sciences announces to upgrade one of its product lines specially targeted for life science research, including small molecules in stem cell, carbohydrates, nucleosides & nucleotides as well as fluorescent probes. This move is made in response to an increasing focus on life science related diseases.

Small molecule inhibitors have long been used as a class of potential useful drugs. The fact that stem cells have many potential applications in medicine in a wide range of areas such as drug discovery, disease modeling, cell transplantation or regenerative therapies is increasingly recognized by scientists. So in exploring how stem cells can go further in recent studies, small molecules paly an indispensable role.

“The second sub-type we put in this product line is carbohydrates, nucleosides & nucleotides,” says Prof. Jones, a senior scientist from BOC Sciences. “We know that carbohydrates are the primary class of compound that present the greatest structural diversity of the biopolymers. Nucleosides and nucleotides are endogenous compounds that are involved in several cellular processes like DNA and RNA synthesis, cell signalling, enzyme regulation and metabolism. Moreover, the analogues of nucleoside and nucleotide can constitute an important class of antiviral drugs, and are also used in the treatment of hematological malignancies and, more recently, in solid tumors.”

Fluorescent probes are single fluorophores or fluorophores covalently conjugated with biological molecules. And in modern biology, fluorescent probes based on small organic molecules have become indispensable tools owing to their advantage of providing dynamic information concerning the localization and quantity of the molecules of interest, without the need of genetic engineering of the sample.

“It was out of careful consideration that we decide to release fluorescent probes. Now we offer the following several types of fluorescent probes: Cell and Organelle Stains, DNA Stains, Fluorescent Enzyme Substrates, Ion Indicators and Sensors, pH Indicators,” continuously explained Mr. Jones.

What’s worth mention here is that, the inhibitor product line is also enlarged meanwhile to serve therapeutic or research purposes, which includes pi4k inhibitor, mch1 inhibitor, prostaglandin receptor inhibitor, ror inhibitor, vdac inhibitor, rhinovirus inhibitor, xanthine oxidase inhibitor, stearoyl-coa desaturase inhibitor, rad51 inhibitor, pka inhibitor, sigma receptor inhibitor, slc9a3 inhibitor and more.
