As well as reinforcing ChargePoints UK growth strategy, Stephens appointment enables the business to serve its existing customer base more efficiently at a local level. Malcolm Cunningham, Head of Sales for EMEIA & LATAM at ChargePoint commented: Growing our UK presence is a natural progression for us and echoes our commercial strategy to expand the company in key markets during 2019. Our UK focus means that we are ideally placed to respond to the increasing demand from the cluster of top 10 large pharma companies. Stephens knowledge and background ensures that the UK market is in safe hands.
Stephen will be pivotal in driving the companys growth and new business strategies in the region whilst maintaining strong relationships with existing customers. He comments, I am looking forward to meeting with our existing clients and helping new clients to address their containment challenges. Im very excited to be part of such a successful business, especially following its new, innovative products that have been introduced during 2018 and 2019.
This latest appointment comes less than 12 months since ChargePoint Technology launched its first-to-market VERIFI smart monitoring solution and more recently launched its disposable range of split butterfly valve (SBV) technology; the ChargePoint® Single Use Passive (SUP) and ChargeBag® PE-S with new HiPure ULP7 PE film. Together, the two products form a high performance, single use package for the contained and sterile transfer of pharmaceutical powders between manufacturing process steps or even facilities.
SBVs enable contained transfers and operator safety during the manufacture of highly potent pharmaceutical products, as well as providing sterility assurance during aseptic processing. The technology reduces the need for operator intervention and for cleaning and validating large areas, leading to minimal downtime and improving efficiencies during manufacturing.
