MR Solutions restructures for ongoing expansion
GUILDFORD, UNITED KINGDOM - Nov 3, 2017 - MR Solutions is expanding its management team following world-wide sales success of their ground-breaking, cryogen free preclinical MRI scanners. The management team and staff numbers have increased at head office and across the world in order to strengthen and support ongoing sales and manufacturing growth.
Founder Dr David Taylor is Chairman of the holding company MR Solutions Group and CEO of MRR Systems Ltd, the division set up to support the companys highly successful spectrometer sales and OEM assembly division. He also remains as chairman of MR Solutions Ltd. Nicky Doughty has been appointed CEO of MR Solutions Ltd, the division for the development and supply of preclinical imaging systems.
A new division has been set up for the manufacture and supply of magnetics and gradient coils with Theo Becker and Chris Cirel managing MRS Magnetics Ltd. This division, which is based in Abingdon near Oxford, has begun supplying the cryogen-free, or dry magnet technology for MR Solutions preclinical MRI systems. Magnets will also continue to be supplied by their existing magnet suppliers.
MR Solutions preclinical cryogen-free MRI technology has been so successful due to its superior performance and it can be accommodated in laboratories due to its compact size. The development of multi-modality technology means that it can be combined with PET or SPECT imaging modules for simultaneous or sequential imaging and at a more competitive price. MR Solutions remains the only company to have an installed base of cryogen-free superconductive, preclinical, MRI multi-modality scanners.
Dr David Taylor of MR Solutions commented, The last three years has been a turning point in the industry with a string of new innovations offering better and more convenient scanning. Our business growth is so strong as we work closely with our clients to provide enhanced imaging research capabilities.
MR Solutions is the only company in the world to offer a range of commercially available scanners from 3T to 9.4T (T is for Tesla - the power of the magnet) which does not require liquid helium. MR Solutions scanners can be wheeled into a lab compared to the helium cooled models which usually need their own room and substantial building modifications.
MR Solutions, with over 30 years experience and in excess of 2000 installations across the world, has its head office at Ashbourne House, The Guildway, Old Portsmouth Road, Guildford, Surrey GU3 1LR; tel: + 44 1483 532146; information@mrsolutions.com; www.mrsolutions.com; offices in the USA and distributors world-wide.
