Endor Labs Named a CRN 2023 Stellar Startup
Endor Labs, creator of the Code and Pipeline Governance Platform, has been named to the CRN 2023 Stellar Startups list in the application development category. This annual list, previously known as CRN Emerging Vendors, recognizes fast-rising technology manufacturers committed to delivering leading-edge solutions that propel innovation and growth in the IT channel.
Jennifer Follett, vice president of U.S. Content and Executive Editor of CRN at The Channel Company, said: “With the 2023 Stellar Startups list, CRN spotlights emerging technology vendors creating groundbreaking products that support customer and solution provider success in the ever-changing IT channel. As a trusted industry resource, the Stellar Startups list empowers solution providers with exclusive insights into the latest cutting-edge IT channel technologies.”
Today, developers waste over 50% of their time investigating noisy application security alerts, integrating and maintaining security tools in CI/CD pipelines, and negotiating priorities and exceptions with security teams.
Endor Labs’ Code and Pipeline Governance platform comprehensively addresses the following:
- Secure Code: 90% of code in modern applications is open source software (OSS), yet only 12% of that code is actually used within applications. Endor Labs replaces existing Software Composition Analysis (SCA) solutions, which lack context on what parts of the code developers are actually using. This effectively cuts ~80% of the vulnerabilities being reported. Moreover, Endor Labs helps engineers improve application performance and minimize the attack surface by helping select and maintain sustainable, secure and high-quality dependencies across the software development lifecycle.
- Secure Pipeline: Endor Labs helps organizations monitor the posture of their pipelines, including SCM configurations, developer access, and hardcoded secrets in code, all through a single hook and policy-as-code framework integrated into the pipeline.
- Compliance & SBOMs: Endor Labs enables customers to comply with emerging standards and regulations, including adherence to White House Executive Order 14028, around Software Bill of Materials (SBOMs) and automated VEX generation.
“Organizations have long struggled to secure code and pipelines without imposing a ‘productivity tax,’ the costs associated with needlessly chasing false positive alerts,” said Andrew Davidson, vice president of Business Development and Alliances at Endor Labs. “Our mission is to achieve application security by prioritizing risks across the software development lifecycle without wasted development cycles, and we’re thrilled by the welcome we’ve already received in the channel. We thank CRN for this valued recognition.”
The technology vendors featured on the CRN 2023 Stellar Startups list have a deep understanding of the unique needs of the IT industry, enabling solution providers to overcome complicated market challenges, increase bottom-line revenue, and deliver solutions that will ensure the IT channel’s continued success.
Companies on the 2023 Stellar Startups list are all six years old or younger. They are selected across categories including artificial intelligence/machine learning (AI/ML), application development/DevOps, big data, business applications, cloud, data center, Internet of Things (IoT), networking/unified communications, security and storage.
