Seasoned Clinical and Digital  Executive Joins Leading Digital Transformation Company to Meet Demand for Digitally Enabled Care Models 

 

Chicago, IL –May 5, 2022AVIA, the nation’s leading digital transformation partner for healthcare organizations, appoints Daniel Clark, MBA, RN, CPHIMS, FHIMSS, FAAMC-GIR, as Senior Vice President, Center for Care Transformation. The Center provides insights and advisory services to enable health systems to leverage digital as they rethink patient care across population health, specialty care, and support for underserved populations. Leading the Center for Care Transformation at AVIA, Clark will develop leading edge insights to drive significant change for health systems as they seek to craft and implement digitally enabled care transformation models.

Clark brings more than 30 years of healthcare experience to his role at AVIA. He most recently held the position of Partner and Vice President of the Technology Services practice at Optum(previously Clinovations). Prior to that role, Clark served as Division Chief Information Officer for University Hospitals in Cleveland, Ohio where he led the IT organizations of University Hospitals Seidman Cancer Center, Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital and MacDonald Women’s Hospital. Clark also held several other administrative and executive roles within vendor organizations, consulting firms, and disease management companies.   

 

As a registered nurse, Clark brings diverse clinical experience having practiced in pediatric emergency care and adult emergency care. He also worked as a critical care ground transport clinician, flight RN, and as a Regional Nursing Manager for a high-tech homecare organization. Clark holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Ohio Wesleyan University, and a Master of Business Administration in Management from the Dauch College of Business and Economics at Ashland University.
