LIQUID STABLE HDL CHOLESTEROL CALIBRATION VERIFICATION KIT AVAILABLE FROM VERICHEM LABORATORIES

December 13, 2019

PROVIDENCE, RI - Dec 13, 2019 - VERICHEM LABORATORIES is pleased to announce the availability of fully liquid stable test kit intended for the calibration verification of both HDL and LDL cholesterol assays.  As the accurate measurement and monitoring of HDL and LDL cholesterol levels have been shown to be vital in the diagnosis and treatment of atherosclerosis and cardiovascular diseases, including stroke and heart attack, the availability of these materials are certain to benefit the needs of a wide variety of medical laboratory professionals, including those involved in clinical research applications and in the manufacturing of in-vitro diagnostic (IVD) products.

VERICHEM LABORATORIES’ HDL Cholesterol Verifier kit contains high density and low density lipoprotein cholesterol from human serum in a ready-to-use, liquid stable format that is free of surfactants, glycols and azide.  Free of interfering substances, the matrix allows excellent performance for the calibration verification of most HDL and LDL “wet chemistry” testing methods, including selective precipitation assays. Volumetric dilution of highest and lowest concentrations provides a known linear relation among this six level testing kit. The serum-like formulation contains a critical blend of highly-purified human serum albumin, human serum globulin and bovine gamma globulin in saline. The use of such purified source components eliminates matrix variations common with most other serum based products. In addition, protein balance, pH, and ion content is constant across all testing levels for optimum linearity, even with the most sensitive methods.  This unique matrix formulation and set point design represents the cutting edge in lipoprotein reference materials.

Every one of VERICHEM LABORATORIES’ HDL Cholesterol Verifier Kits is ergonomically packaged and contains a six-level set, with five milliliters (5.0 mL) of material at each level, along with a Value Assignment Sheet. The materials are packaged in easy-to-use, translucent polyethylene dropper vials and offer an exceptional shelf-life stability claim of fourteen (14) months from the date of manufacture, when stored at temperatures of -15° to -25°C.

VERICHEM LABORATORIES serves the clinical laboratory testing and in-vitro diagnostic (IVD) manufacturing markets with a comprehensive line of calibration verification products, chemistry standards, reference materials, and support services.
