Creative Biostructure Has Updated Its X-Ray Platform for Biological Structure
SHIRLEY, NY - Apr 26, 2019 - Creative Biostructure, a prominent server in structural biology and membrane protein technologies, has updated its X-ray Crystallography Platform by introducing a set of new instruments in this late April. These advanced instruments will empower the company and its crystallographers with better capacity in protein structure and protein crystallization.

X-ray crystallography is one of the most frequently used techniques to determinate the atomic structure of proteins, nucleic acids and other molecules. To support its clients' manufacturing and research needs in structural projects, Creative Biostructure has set up its own X-ray crystallography platform. This platform includes a set of state-of-art tools to optimize protein crystallization and provide exact X-ray diffraction data processing for target macro-molecules.
Creative Biostructure equips its X-ray platform with highly specialized instruments, including multipurpose X-ray diffractometers, high-throughput liquid handling robots, high-resolution imaging systems, and nano-liter crystallization robots. Each instrument has its own functions and advantages in X-ray diffraction studies.
X-Ray Diffractometer
Creative Biostructure owns X-ray diffractometers to obtain ultimate quality diffraction data combined with ease of use and flexibility for either research or industrial purposes. The diffractometers are all equipped with pre-aligned, fast interchangeable X-ray modules, enabling the company to make a change in the optical path if needed.
Liquid Handling Robot
The liquid handling robots in Creative Biostructure are all with automated pipetting systems and capable to compose crystallization screens from over 200 stock solutions. They can also refine appropriate crystallization conditions by creating optimized follow-up screens.
Imaging System
The imaging systems of Creative Biostructure are not only ideal to store crystals in incubators operating at different temperatures, but also easy to acquire high-solution image data in hanging and sitting drop experiments.
Crystallization Robot
To get the perfect crystallization data, Creative Biostructure brings in nano-liter crystallization robots equipped with flexible needles to dispense from 100 nano-liters to 100 micro-liters, suitable for setting up crystallization experiments in 96-well plates.
