New Horizons of Gene Editing
December 17, 2013
December 17, 2013 | Horizon Discovery is expanding its Genesis gene editing platform to take advantage of Crispr, the revolutionary gene deletion technique developed last year. Horizon made a deal with Harvard University in September to license the university's Crispr technology for selectively cutting genes from the genome. Now, through a partnership with Desktop Genetics, the company will develop software that lets users quickly select the appropriate guide RNA to use in any Crispr application, accelerating the pace of gene editing.
