Biogen Idec's Open Space for Innovation

July 29, 2103 | Biogen Idec is counting on the layout of its new Cambridge, Mass. building to foster conversations and collaboration. The new building opened last week and will have no offices and no cubicles, instead open work spaces, treadmill work stations, and "huddle rooms". There will also be a fitness center, daycare, and a daily shuttle from the Western suburbs with coffee and wifi. The question is, will there also be breakthroughs? Boston Globe
