Study Launched to Measure Benefits, Risks of Genetic Information

March 15, 2013 | University of California San Francisco is launching a four-year, $2.4 million project to analyze how physicians and patients in the general population, as well as those given whole genome sequencing results in a clinical trial, evaluate the benefits and risks of genetic information. The project, “Benefit-Risk Tradeoffs for Whole Genome Sequencing,” recently funded by the National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI). UCSF
