David Cox, Genomics Leader, Dies

January 23, 2013 | David Cox, a geneticist and senior vice president at Pfizer, died yesterday. Cox was involved in early efforts to sequence the human genome, served as the chief scientific officer for Perlegen (and spoke with Bio-IT World about the company's efforts), and led Pfizer's genetics research efforts at the Biotherapeutics and Bioinnovation Center (see, Pfizer's BBC Brings Fresh Perspective to Targets).
