HHMI Awards Three Interdisciplinary Grants

September 13, 2012 | HHMI has awarded three grants to develop interdisciplinary graduate training programs that integrate the biomedical sciences with the physical sciences and engineering, as part of its Interfaces Initiative. Two of the institutions selected, Massachusetts General Hospital, and the University of California, San Diego (UCSD), will convert their highly successful lab courses into virtual courses for the web. The third university selected by HHMI, the University of California, Irvine, will develop an annual workshop to solicit and share successful training strategies, and will include an online forum to encourage interaction.
