Australian Researchers Launch Proteome Browser
September 10, 2012
September 10, 2012 | As part of the Human Proteome Project, researchers from Monash University in Australia and their colleagues are developing an open-access Web interface for the proteins on chromosome 7. The proteome browser will show the quality of information available on each protein, and users will be able to, "step down through the database to get information on, for example, the tissues in which it has been detected and its function in those tissues, whether it is up-regulated or down-regulated in cancer, and in the future possibly even details of its epigenetic status in various tissue types, both healthy and cancerous."
