23andMe Reaches 100,000 Records in DNA Database

June 15, 2011 | Consumer genomics company 23andMe has announced that, as of this week, it now has 100,000 people in its DNA database. Co-founder/CEO Anne Wojcicki calls it one of the world's largest genetic databases, which will enable them to do "a tremendous amount of discovery" into the possible causes of ailments such as Parkinson's disease.
