April 21, 2011 | In another example of sequencing in the clinic, researchers at Washington University's Genome Institute have used a patient's genome to inform clinical decisions about leukemia treatment. Richard Wilson, lead author on a Journal of the American Medical Association study, said that the sequencing cost $40,000 and offered results in about six weeks. AFP
