December 17, 2010 | Consumer genomics company 23andMe has received a $190,000 grant to study "web-based phenotyping for genome-wide association studies of drug response" from the NIH. A spokeswoman said: "We believe that advancements in computing and the ubiquity of the Internet enable new approaches to research that are sound, valid and will be an important complement to traditional clinical trials."
