IBM's Royyuru on Nanopore Sequencing

October 7, 2010

October 8, 2010 | IBM Research is partnering with 454 Life Sciences on a DNA Transistor, a solid-state device to sequence DNA while reducing cost and improving throughput. One promising method threads DNA through a pore only a few nanometers in diameter, sequencing each base as is proceeds through the pore. The method could offer real-single molecule DNA sequencing with little to no sample prep. Wired
